Opportunity to present your project at BYU

RootsTech participants,

Here is a new opportunity you may be interested in that is open to all of you, regardless of whether you were selected as a semifinalist of the RootsTech Innovator Showdown.

Family History Technology Workshop

Brigham Young University (BYU) hosts a "Family History Technology Workshop" each year and have invited you to come present your project to those attendees.  This is held in Provo, Utah on Tuesday, Feb. 2nd, the day before RootsTech begins. In addition to their own event on Tuesday, BYU then has a session at RootsTech on Wednesday where they will highlight the best of what happened on Tuesday.  This allows RootsTech attendees who missed the full day event in Provo, an opportunity to see the highlights of what took place that day.

This event is attended by about 50-100 technical people including industry, academic, and family history specialists.  Internet is available, and presentations should be 2-5 minutes with a few slides and/or demo.

More information about the workshop is online at fhtw.byu.edu.

If you are interested and can make it, you are encouraged and invited to apply for the "Lightning Session" Tuesday morning at BYU.  Please submit a paragraph or two about your technology to fhtw@internet.byu.edu by tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Thank you,

The RootsTech Innovator Showdown Team
