What do you want — The money, the media attention or bragging rights?
What do you want — The money, the media attention or bragging rights?
You walk across the stage in front of thousands of people and some short little guy with a smooth voice hands you a check for $30,000. Elated? Of course! Ecstatic? You betcha!
I want you to stop and visualize the scenario above for just a second. $30,000 would mean you are the judge’s first choice AND the people’s choice in the RootsTech Innovator Showdown.
Second’s up!
With only 12 days left to submit an app, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’d do with the money if I were to win. I can’t enter the contest because I work for FamilySearch, the host of the contest.
But you can enter the Showdown, right?
Here’s four question to ask yourself:
- What would you do with the money?
- How would $30,000 change your your life/business?
- Can you see yourself on stage accepting a bigger check than our friends at StoryWorth (last year’s judge’s first choice AND people’s choice winner - see below)?
- What’s holding you back?
StoryWorth Sweeps RootsTech Innovator Showdown
I want you to noodle on this for a bit.
You probably heard about this contest, thought about it, and maybe let time get away. But it’s not too late. Don’t let anything hold you back from the chance to claim your share of the $100,000 prize. What’s holding you back?
Not only is money at stake, but there is an opportunity for unprecedented media coverage. The Innovator Showdown is the largest tech competition in the family history industry and the state of Utah. Media outlets from all over the world flock to Salt Lake each February to see the latest and greatest technology advances that will shape this growing $4 billion dollar industry. Here’s your shot to get in front of them and tell your story. What’s holding you back?
And bragging rights! Who doesn’t mind being crowned a champion? I don’t !!! (you should see me holding my high school basketball team’s sectional championship plaque - ok, so it's not me, but you get the point). What’s holding you back?
