3 weeks to go! RootsTech Innovator Showdown
This is the first in a series of updates in the final weeks leading up to the RootsTech Innovator Showdown deadline. We are grateful for your interest and we're looking forward to making this a great event for all.
If you are still deciding whether to enter, here is some important information that may help.
Travel
We help with travel costs! Don't let this hold you back. If you make it to the semi-final round, we want you in Salt Lake City, Utah in February. Here is an excerpt from the official rules about travel costs:
"All semi-finalists can receive travel assistance of up to $1,500 domestic and $3,500 international. The final of amount of the stipend will be determined by distance from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, and semi-finalist demonstrated need. Once selected, semi-finalists will need to coordinate travel and accommodations with the RootsTech event team. Applicants will arrange for their own travel, and RootsTech will arrange 1 hotel room. Stipend funds will be provided at RootsTech."
Innovation Alley
All semi-finalists are invited to not only present in front of judges, investors, and peers, but also to set up a mini-booth in the world's largest Expo Hall for family history enthusiasts at RootsTech. The collection of these specific booths we are calling the "Innovation Alley". This provides you an opportunity to get in front of investors, end users, and even media.
