Hackathon vs Showdown

It is a little confusing when registering for the Showdown to click a button to "register for this hackathon". Are they one in the same?

    I agree, I noticed that today too. Devpost uses a templated system, a lot of their customers run hack-a-thons. I'll see if they can change this for us without affecting their other customers. Thank you for raising this issue.
